Warranty and
Repair/Exchange Program

Warranty
Component Engineering products are warranted against defect in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of original purchase. This warranty does not cover damage or wear resulting from accident, misuse, installation, or unauthorized adjustment, modification, or repair. In the event of any defect covered by this warranty, Component Engineering will repair or replace the equipment, at its option, and promptly return it to you prepaid.

In the event of any defect as indicated in the warranty noted above, the customer is responsible for the shipping charges to our facility for repair. Component Engineering is responsible for the service and return shipping charges to your facility if the product is under warranty. Products are returned UPS ground service. Customers requesting quicker return will be charged the difference between ground shipping and the faster service.

Repair/Exchange Program
Component Engineering offers a repair/exchange program on a number of products, most particularly the FM-35 cue detector/film monitor. Although we attempt to have exchange units in stock, we cannot guarantee availability. Please check before placing an order.

When available, refurbished exchange units are shipped the day after an order is received, at the shipping service level requested. If not specified, we ship UPS ground. Exchanges include a mailing label to be used to send back the old part. Customers are responsible for shipping charges to our facility.

Once we have shipped a repair/exchange unit, customers are invoiced for the refurbished unit and shipping costs. If customers return an old unit within 30 days, we will offer a credit against the invoiced charges. The amount of the credit will be the difference between the original charge and the repair costs required to bring the unit up to a refurbished condition. If the unit is not returned within the approved time period, no credit will be issued.
